Before you start: By default, the Sercomm DG4244 operates in routed mode. Bridge mode disables the modem's built-in router functions (DHCP, Wi-Fi, firewall, port forwarding), so you'll need a separate router connected to it to handle these functions.
Follow these steps to switch your modem to bridge mode:
- Open a browser and go to http://192.168.0.1.
- Log in with your admin credentials. If you haven't changed them, the default username is admin and the default password is the alphanumeric code printed on the label on the back/bottom of the modem.
- In the left-hand menu, click Gateway, then select At a Glance.
- Locate the Bridge Mode control and click Enable.
- Confirm the action if prompted. The modem will show a progress bar, apply the change, and reboot automatically. This can take 2–3 minutes.
To revert: Reboot the modem and repeat these steps and select Disable on the Bridge Mode control, or perform a factory reset by holding the reset button on the back for about 20 seconds. Note that a factory reset also erases any other custom settings applied before
